Higher Education

Say goodbye to those long, tiresome registration lines. Colleges and Universities throughout the country are taking advantage of the numerous benefits that are gained through automated registration functions. Benefits include reducing time demands on both staff and students associated with face-to-face registration, implementing an automated Wait list function that simplifies administration processes and delivery, and a credit card tuition payment system that significantly increases revenues.

Students appreciate the ability to take care of business on their own time. No more waiting by the mailbox for the mail to arrive, no more playing phone tag with advisors, no more wasting time in lines and filling out tedious paperwork, no more guessing about the status of financial aid. All of these tasks that traditionally have taken valuable time from students, can now be completed in minutes with a simple phone call. This automation makes for happier students and ultimately frees up time for higher education staff to spend on more important matters.

Not only can students add and drop courses, they can also request to be wait-listed for a particular class. Better yet, they can choose to pay for tuition with a credit card that reduces the average tuition collections cycle from 45 days to as little as one day!

These functions are saving time for both students and registration personnel. Students love the capability of taking care of their entire schedule in a matter of minutes, without leaving their homes.

College registration departments no longer need to increase their staff head-count to accommodate the long lines of students at the beginning of each new term. This enables registration departments to maintain a predictable workload throughout the entire year and allows staff to concentrate on higher-level tasks.

The automation of student inquiries and transactions eliminates the need for live interaction with college registration staff. Registration departments are able to reduce their staffing requirements for such resource-intensive tuition collection functions.

For less than a couple dollars per student, INI Education Solutions will:
  • Reduce Registrar staffing and resource needs
  • Simplify administration
  • Increase student satisfaction

Admission Module
Allows potential students to receive a mailing or fax-back of all admission documentation. Once the documentation is returned to the college or university, it allows students to check on the status of their admission process.
Course Registration
The course registration application allows students to add and drop classes, as well as listen to their class schedules. The system logs each add and drop immediately, notifying students of any admittance blocks such as unmet prerequisites, class enrollment maximum or outstanding financial obligations.
Grade Inquiry
Permits students to obtain their course grades over the telephone. Typically, students are able to receive grading information for the previous two quarters.
Advisor Counseling Inquiry
Allows students to inquire about their scheduled advisor counseling appointment for the current quarter. The system will inform the student by speaking the date, time and location of the appointment.
Financial Aid Inquiry
Entitles students to inquire about the status of their financial aid for the selected academic year. The system will inform the student of his/her application status, including any missing documents, as well as the date of the award letter if appropriate.
Wait List
This application will be invoked when students choose a class that has met maximum capacity. Students have the option to add themselves to a wait list, inquire about their position on a wait list, remove a wait list entry, and confirm acceptance of a class opening. When a student reaches the top of the wait list, the application will out-call to the student to inform him/her that that an opening is available. This module makes it possible for institutions to more accurately gauge demand for classes. Such information gives notice to the school if there is a need to add particular classes and/or hire additional instructors.
Credit Card Payment
Allows students to pay any and all fees on their account. Students are able to access the Credit Card Payment application at the end of a registration session and also as a separate option of the main menu.
Degree Verification
Enables employers to determine a job applicant's degree and GPA. Employers wishing to verify information of current and previous students can call into the school's information line to obtain this information.
